Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: Character Pack

Skylanders Spyro's Adventure: Prism Break

Prism Break

* Figure measured approximately 2-1/2 inch tall
* Works with the Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Video Game, Video Game sold Separately
* For age 6 and up

Prism Break is unique among other earth-type Skylanders in that he has long-range attacks (energy beams, further lengthened in range by usage of summoning crystal shards) and close-up crystal attacks. He's also kinda fast for an earth-type too (then again, most Skylanders, surprisingly, are fast). His other advantage is that... well... you don't need a pickaxe in the mines levels when you have Prism Break, plus.... he can do something other earth Skylanders can't do (something with those big purple crystals that "usually" need a bomb to get through.... hint HINT).
A good ranged "bulldozer/blowtorch" add-on to your Skylander party/army.

Getting a Sonogram...in a Virtual World!

I found this video and love it. It's a woman going into a clinic of some sort in Second Life and getting a sonogram. Yes, that's right. She's got a pregnant avatar and she and her online significant other have presumably hired someone to come in and pretend to scan their virtual fetus. Don't forget that Second Life is a game where you can actually make real life money, so I wonder if the virtual obstetrician is getting some real life cash for the virtual check-up? Will there be a virtual baby? Does someone have to roleplay that? How does one roleplay a baby? Wahhhhhh! Wahhhhhhh! Coooooooo!

Ok, my curiosity is piqued, time to dust off my Second Life avie...

* Interaction Figures with Brains The Skylanders figures remember their in-game experiences and upgrades
* Each character has unique abilities and powers, play more and unlock special moves and superpowers
* Play cooperatively with or against your friends on quests throughout Skylands and in the player vs. player battle arenas

Frozen in our world. Alive in Theirs. For Generations, the Skylanders have used their magical powers and weapons to protect Skylands. But now, an evil tyrant has frozen them and banished them to Earth. Only you can put them on the Portal of Power and bring them to life to save Skylands forever.

I won't say much about the Skylanders game, because if you're already looking at figure sets, you probably already know what the game is all about. I will say that as an adult, I love the game. My wife and I have played through several levels and are hooked. It's a really fun, somewhat easy, relaxing game to play together. This figure set is great. I love sharks, and the shark character is what sold me on it. The pirate ship basically sets you up with a new world to complete objectives in and explore.

I really like this set, and think it's a good addition to a Skylanders collection. This expansion is worth it just for the Terrafin character alone. He's a really cool creature in the game. He dives underground, upgrades from fists to brass knuckles, and spawns tiny attack sharks. The extra world is accessed by simply putting the pirate ship on the portal platform. A pirate ship will appear at the dock on the beach and you can take it to the new content at any time. The set comes with a cool special power up accessory called ghost swords. At anytime in the game you can put the ghost swords on the portal and your character will get two giant swords fighting at their side for a limited time. I found these work great for boss battles. Buying the set gives you a cool earth elemental character, a new place to go, and a couple of new powers that add something to the overall game. I think its a good deal, even better if you plan ahead and make Terrafin your ground guy.

If you like the game, then this set should be added to your collection sooner rather than later!!

Activision Skylanders Spyro's Adventure Pack Darklight Crypt

The included character, Ghost Roaster (who is not available individually at this time), is by far the most fun, and possibly overpowered character I've used so far. He is a melee undead character, and his special ability is turning into a laughing, flaming skull that plows through any emenies or breakables in his path. I use this as a primary attack since it is so good, and I also use it to move quickly around the chapters since it moves at about 3 times the speed of normal walking. After training, enemies killed will produce ghosts that also attack enemies, and can eventually be consumed by Roaster to heal damage. Great character.

Also included are the Time Twister and Healing potion. While I haven't had the need or the curiousity to use the Twister yet, the Healing potion is an invaluable tool that any serious player will want at his/her disposal. It is not an instant heal, but rather has a HoT effect, and there is a fixed duration of the HoT you can apply per chapter. I haven't depleted it or performed quantitative measure on the amount of HP it heals, but if is more than enough to save you when you are getting clobbered or need to recover before a boss fight.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Deus Ex Human Revolution Limited Edition

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a science fiction action role-playing video game developed by Eidos Montreal and published by Square Enix. Released in August 2011, it is the third game in the Deus Ex series, and a prequel to the original game released in 2000.

The game is set in 2027, 25 years before the first title of the series, at a time when cutthroat multinationals have developed their operations beyond the control of national governments. The game follows Adam Jensen, the newly hired director of in-house security for an up-and-coming biotechnology firm specialising in human cybernetic enhancement, Sarif Industries. After a brutal act of industrial terrorist sabotage at Sarif's Detroit-based headquarters and primary R&D facilities, the mortally wounded Jensen is forced to undergo radical life-saving surgeries that replace large areas of his body with advanced prostheses. Upon returning to work, he becomes embroiled in the global politics of the human enhancement movement in the search for those responsible for the attack.

Human Revolution received critical acclaim upon its release, with many reviewers praising the open-ended nature of the game and the weight of social interaction on the outcome of events

This cyberpunk-inspired game takes place during the year 2027, 25 years before Deus Ex. Nanotechnological augmentations have yet to be developed and biomechanical augmentations are the current state of the art. The player's character, Adam Jensen (voiced by Elias Toufexis), is a private security officer with Sarif Industries, a leading biotech company that specializes in human augmentations. After an attack on his company leaves him horrifically injured and forced to undergo augmentation to survive, "the conspiracy begins."[11] The player travels to several locations over the course of the game: Detroit, Hengsha (a fictional city on Hengsha Island in the Yangtze River near Shanghai), Montreal, Singapore, and Panchea, a facility in the Arctic Ocean.[7]
[edit] Characters

* Adam Jensen – The player's character, voiced by Elias Toufexis. Adam was a SWAT commander in the Detroit Police, but his career came to an end when he refused to follow a questionable order. Subsequently, Adam became a private security specialist for Sarif Industries, assigned to protect scientists on the verge of cutting edge breakthroughs. During what should have been a routine security detail, an ambush by a rogue black ops team, the Tyrants, leaves Adam critically injured and his charges dead. Adam awakens with cybernetic augmentations, and begins a relentless search for the truth behind the attack.
* David Sarif – The founder and CEO of Sarif Industries, David is a futurist who developed an interest in machines at an early age. He is known for his forward, honest demeanor, though he has no aversion to keeping secrets when appropriate.
* Bill Taggart - A psychologist, Bill is the founder of the Humanity Front and becomes a leading opposition to human augmentation, a cause he took up after his wife's murder by an augmented addict.
* Hugh Darrow - The godfather of Augmentation, after having retired, builds Panchaea to help control global warming. Seen as a hero for David and Megan, however, it is revealed that he regrets creating augmentation and plans to end bio-modification in a sinister and frightening way.
* Zhao Yun Ru - One of the primary antagonists, she is the president of Tai Yong Medical, a rival company against Sarif Industries whose company is attempting to take control of the bio-modification market.
* Dr. Megan Reed - One of the lead researchers at Sarif Industries and Adam's ex-girlfriend. Dr. Reed is considered a pioneer in the field of human enhancement technologies. However, dedication to her research and an aloof demeanor has made it difficult for her to cultivate lasting interpersonal relationships.
* Faridah Malik - A helicopter pilot for Sarif Industries, she transports Jensen into various missions and locations. In one of the side missions, Malik asks Jensen to help her find the murderer of her best friend in Hengsha and bring him to justice.
* Frank Pritchard - The head of Sarif's cyber-security team, Frank has a sour relationship with Jensen, however, he is Jensen's main logistical support during his missions.
* Eliza Cassan - A reporter for the international news network, Picus TV. She shows interest in Jensen and his activities and supports him in uncovering the conspiracy.
* Isaias Sandoval - Taggart's chief aide, who joins the Humanity Front after his augmented brother goes on a rampage and is talked down by Taggart.
* Lawrence Barrett - A former marine turned mercenary, Barrett is a member of the Tyrants. Like Namir, he has augmented his already impressive physique with numerous cybernetic upgrades. He lives for the moment when he's beaten his enemy into submission, and Adam Jensen is his next target.
* Vasili Sevchenko - Ukrainian scientists at the Sarif Industries labs
* Yelena Fedorova - A statuesque, athletic woman of Afro-Russian descent, Yelena is one of Belltower's most elite assassins. Unlike Barrett, she favors stealth over brute force. Being one of few women in a male-dominated profession has strongly influenced her worldview, making her cautious of everything around her.
* Jaron Namir – An Israeli-born mercenary, Namir is the field commander for the Tyrants. Officially a senior member of the PMC Belltower Associates, he actually takes his orders from the Illuminati. A merciless combatant, yet also a devoted family man, he has had numerous cybernetic enhancements to compensate for the decline associated with advanced age.
* Tong Si Hung - The biggest crime boss in Hengsha, Tong owns a nightclub called The Hive. Later, he is revealed to be the leader of the Harvesters, a gang who deals in black market human enhancement augmentations as well as being the father of Tracer Tong, a character in the original Deus Ex.
* Zeke Sanders - A former augmented soldier, Zeke is the leader of the anti-augmentation extremist group, Purity First, who leads an attack on a Sarif manufacturing plant.

Armored Core: For Answer

Armored Core: For Answer

Armored Core: For Answer is a 2008 3D mecha-based video game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 developed by From Software and published by From Software in Japan and Ubisoft internationally. It is the 13th installment of From Software's Armored Core series. Armored Core: For Answer is the sequel to Armored Core 4, and takes place around ten years later. It was released in Japan on March 19, 2008, in North America on September 16, 2008 and in Europe on October 3, 2008.

AC customization has been changed from the previous Armored Core title, with a new interface and many new parts not found in Armored Core 4. Online mode returns with a new co-operative mode alongside the player versus mode. Gameplay enhancements included a power increase for both Quick Boost and Over Boost, as well as an auxiliary high speed booster known as Vanguard Over Booster (VOB). Another new feature in the game is the Assault Armor attack that becomes available by equipping certain OB parts. This attack uses up all available Primal Armor that the AC has and generates a huge blast consisting of Kojima (highly reactive particles) that destroys or damages all objects surrounding the AC. However, this also leaves the AC vulnerable because not only will the AC lose its PA, it will also not regenerate for a few seconds. Laser blades are deadlier because of the revamped laser blade attack. Once the blade has acquired a lock-on, the AC will instantly rush to the target, traveling a great distance to use the laser blade. All parts carried over from the previous game have had their parameters altered, much like the transition between previous series installments Silent Line and Nexus. The on-screen HUD can now be changed to any of 20 colors. There are now 442 FRS tuning points available to unlock, which is an increase from the 300 (PS3) and 337 (XBOX360) FRS points available in AC4. Maps are much larger and more detailed including environment damage such as collapsing buildings. The game is also the second in the series (after Last Raven) to feature multiple endings, with three different possible plot branches available depending on your actions and decisions in the game.

The North American Xbox 360 edition of For Answer was released advertising both online and off-line (local) cooperative play on the packaging, but as of early October, there has been no off-line cooperative option accessible in game, nor comment from Ubisoft or From Software.

* he League of Ruling Companies - A group of corporations that have banded together to control the world's economy, formed from the ashes of the Pax Economica. On paper, the League seeks to preserve peace and order within the corporate society, but the grim reality does not match these aims. Under their rule, the planet succumbed to rapid over development and pollution. 'The Cradle System' is a series of floating platforms developed by the League in order to house and protect millions of civilians from the nearly uninhabitable surface. Despite the appearance that the League is a united body, the corporations in fact continue to fight amongst one another, making the League little more than a shell organization. Member corporations of the League include:
o Global Armaments - After the LYNX War, GA was the dominant corporation, but lost power within the League to Omer, and have since begun to operate on their own, often allying with the rebuilt BFF. GA remains a leader in the field of heavy solid-state weapons.
o Bernard and Felix Foundation - After being rebuilt by GA following the LYNX War, BFF has frequently worked alongside its former enemy. However, its products have taken a steep decline in quality, as evidenced by their main Arms Fort.
o Rosenthal - Rosenthal has lost much of its power and prestige due to the increasing influence of its one-time subsidiary, Omer, within the League. Regardless, the company is still known for its sophisticated and balanced technology.
o Omer Science Technology - The dominant company within the League, Omer has nonetheless come under significant competition from corporations who have begun to operate independently of the organization. It has a deep rivalry with TORUS, due to each company's leadership in the field of Kojima technology.
o TORUS - A startup formed by a merger between GA Europe (after the organization broke off from GA America) and the remaining assets of Akvavit. Due to this acquisition, TORUS is a leader in the field of Kojima technology. It is on very poor terms with both GA and Omer. Supported by the Interior Union.
o Interior Union - Formed by a merger of Leonemeccanica and Melies after the LYNX War, Interior Union is known as a leader in the field of laser technology, with its products frequently surpassing even Rosenthal in terms of quality. Often at odds with GA due to Interior's possession of fossil fuels.
o ALGEBRA - Known as Eqbal during the LYNX War, ALGEBRA lost a great deal of its standing after sustaining heavy losses in that conflict. They nonetheless have persisted and rebuilt their organization, recruiting new LYNX in the process. They are currently aligned with Omer.
* Collared - Not technically a faction, this organization is under full jurisdiction of the League, responsible for management and control of the LYNX. Collared acts as an intermediary between the LYNX and the League. It has become nothing more than a watering hole for corporate agents out on assignments from their employers.

Opposing Factions

* Line Ark - The largest surface-based power, Line Ark is a maritime city-state formed by those who oppose the League and the Cradle system. They advocate democratic ideals and seem to be fighting for a just cause. Their motto of "accepting all who wish to enter" has attracted a large number of unfavorable types, resulting in the decay of their society. Few of their original ideals remain intact.

* ORCA - A mysterious rebel group that operates outside the League's rule. Their true aims are unknown, except that they oppose the League's Out of Sight, Out of Mind approach to handling the environmental damage done to the planet. They employ several top-class LYNXs and possess a military strength that can match the League's. They're led by a group of LYNX who refer to themselves as the Original Five

LYNX

* The Protagonist: The unnamed protagonist of Armored Core for Answer. He does not speak. The story plays out entirely from his/her perspective.

Line Ark/ORCA LYNX/

* Unknown LYNX(aka Line Ark's Guardian): The pilot of White Glint's identity is unknown, but is hinted to be The Raven from Armored Core 4. The gender is disputed but most agree that the pilot is male. During the gameplay of Armored Core 4, The Raven is responsible for destroying the companies Rayleonard and the Bernard and Felix Foundation (BFF), although the latter returns to full size after receiving support from GA. The first White Glint appeared in AC4 piloted by Joshua O´Brien who single-handedly destroyed Akvavit.

* Maximillian Thermidor: The Leader of ORCA, he pilots the black and crimson mid-weight reverse-jointed craft, Unsung. His goal is to make Rayleonard's former vision a reality. Equal parts romanticist, visionary, and passionate demagogue. A complex, if not divided man, he is one of the Original Five.

* Malzel: A strategist and Maximillian Thermidor's right hand man & trusted friend, he formed ORCA with help from Omer Science while secretly plotting for the initiation of the Closed Plan. He pilots a black heavy NEXT, Opening. He participates in key ORCA operations, often taking his younger protege Vaoh, whose talent he discovered years ago.

* Neo Nidus: One of ORCA's top ranked LYNX. He is greatly feared for his remarkable AMS aptitude while piloting his NEXT Gachirin, a heavy Torus craft utilizing experimental Assault Armor weaponry which can cause great damage to its surroundings. He is one of the Original Five.

* Julius Emery: The only female LYNX in ORCA, often regarded to as the second coming of Joshua O'Brien. She pilots a lightweight NEXT that is tuned for long-range combat, utilizing powerful hard-hitting weaponry. She is one of the Original Five.

* Old King: He led the former armed rebel group Lilliana. Isolating himself from other ORCA to maintain his "outsider" status, his Algebra-based craft, Lisa, is reversed-legged and armed with a heavy shotgun.

* Shinkai: The only surviving Rayleonard LYNX, he now participates in the initiation of the Closed Plan. His NEXT, Split Moon, utilizes experimental parts passed down from his comrade, Anjou. He is one of the Original Five.

Corporate LYNX

* Lilium Wolcott: A female LYNX who inherited the prestigious Wolcott name. She is the new princess of Wong Shao-Lung's treasured BFF, but her graceful disposition sets her apart from the late Mary Shelley. She pilots an offensive front line craft, Ambient, and looks to Wong Shao-Lung as a senior figure. Younger sibling of Francesca and Eugene Wolcott, the pilots of Helix I and Helix II from AC4.

* Gerald Gendlin: A LYNX working for Rosenthal, his is the successor to Noblesse Oblige, Rosenthal's iconic NEXT, a symbol of the company's power utilizing powerful laser weaponry. Self righteous and dutiful, he often takes immediate action when lives are threatened.

* Otsdarva: Formerly from Rayleonard, Omer's trump card as the pilot of the AC Stasis. His home is the battlefield, where he's touted as a tactical genius and is Collared's Rank #1. Now he's turned his attention towards White Glint, and is determined to secure his spot at the top.

* Wynne D Fanchon: Interior's female LYNX, often referred to as "GA's disaster". Also known as the "Brass Maiden" by many front line soldiers. An aggressive LYNX who is famous for never failing a mission, her craft, Reiterpallasch, is lightweight but strikes hard. A proud LYNX, she despises those simply in the business for killing.

* Roadie: An experienced pilot who continues to pilot Feedback, an outdated craft armed with bazookas. He compensates his low AMS aptitude with raw battle experience. He is one of the few survivors of the LYNX War and is GA's top LYNX. He is respected and feared for his NEXT's bazooka wielding arms.

* CUBE: A cyborg test pilot for the Aspina corporation piloting an experimental craft dubbed Fragile; while he is not primarily a combat pilot, he is used by Aspina on specialized missions for data collection and often accompanies Omer's top ranked Otsdarva on missions of utmost importance to the League. Many LYNX have fallen to its inhuman piloting abilities.

* Shamir Raviravi: This LYNX is often called "Algebra's Femme-Arachnid". She pilots Red Rum, an insect-like four-legged craft equipped with a slug gun and other slug-based weaponry. Best in her element, she loves to get the drop on her enemies in adverse battle field situations.

* Takafumi Arisawa: The 43rd president of the Arisawa Heavy Industries, nicknamed "Shadow Warrior". He searches for an opponent for his beloved craft, Rai-Den, a heavy tank-type armed with grenades. His craft is the driving force behind all Arisawa technology.

Operators

* Fiona Jarnefeldt: Fiona Jarnefeldt is the operator of White Glint. She returns from Armored Core 4 to join Line Ark. As she tends to speak on behalf of the Unknown LYNX, she is frequently mistaken to be White Glint's pilot.

* Serene Haze: She is the protagonist's operator. Unlike other operators in series, she talks to protagonist in senior, or even teacher-like manner. This fact, coupled with several evidences in the game, implies her past as an experienced LYNX herself. Hinted to be Kasumi Sumika from Armored Core 4, she is voiced by Cindy Robinson in the US version.

Arms Forts

Large-scale weapons created by the Companies to replace NEXTs in military operations as well as keeping each company in The League in a state of checks and balances. They are many times larger and much more powerful than any single NEXT is, and are usually deployed in matters where a NEXT is neither available nor sufficient.

* Stigro: A marine-type Arms Fort from Interior Union, armed with massive scale laser blades and missiles, the Stigro is the fastest of all Arms Forts, but largely based in water. While an extremely well designed AF for combating enemy naval fleets it will not fair well against a NEXT. Appears in "Attack on Naval Port of Mimir", "Defeat AF Stigro" and "Defeat the 8th fleet"

* Spirit of Motherwill: A huge walking Arms Fort created by the Bernard and Felix Foundation. It is designed like a gargantuan aircraft carrier and is bristling with several homing missile launchers, long-ranged cannons, and many NORMAL units. Heavy armor made this AF indestructible from the outside. However, its design is fundamentally flawed. When the main gun batteries, missile launchers and the defensive guns in its midsection are destroyed, it causes the internal structure to catch fire. Sufficient destruction of these weapons will cause Spirit of Motherwill's reactors to overheat and explode. Appears in "Defeat The spirit of Motherwill", as well as the intro movie appearing when starting the game.

* Cabracan: A large, tower-like Algebra Transport/support AF with a shredder-like apparatus equipped to the front. All around defense made this AF totally indestructible by NEXT grade weaponry. However, its focus on defense results in it having far less firepower than many other AFs. Furthermore the steel plated 'skirt' that protects its treads must open up to adjust to the uneven surface while travelling, leaving the treads temporary vulnerable. Its top half contains its main offensive support weaponry, several hundred drones, as the launching of the drones requires the AF to detach the armor on the top half of its body, these drones will not be used unless stronger enemy forces are near or if the AF should suffer any larger damages lowering its otherwise high speed, its best way to avoid destruction. Appears in "Defeat AF Cabracan"

* Land Crab: A mass produced Arms Fort designed and used mostly GA, who seems to have sold some units to the Interior Union, GA Land Crabs are equipped with High Caliber Cannons, whereas the Interior Reequipped their units with precision laser cannons. Much like the mobile fortresses from Armored Core 4, they are easily destroyed from the underside. This AF is massively produced. Appears in "Attack on Richland", "Rescue the GA Transport Unit" and "Ambush Sphere Invasion Forces(Hard Mode)".

* Eclipse: Omer Science's Arms Fort, flight capable and equipped with a laser cannon that rotates a full 360 degrees around the craft. It relies on speed, the offensive power of its High Impact Laser cannon and vertical launch missiles (which actually fire downwards) Appear in "Defend Megalis" and "Defend Anti-Satellite Cannons"

* Answerer: A large hovering AF with the appearance of a topdown flower. It is armed with the latest in Energy based weaponry, including High Impact laser cannons, Kojima missiles, homing missiles, experimental Assault Armor and an amazingly large Kojima shield, similar to PA, that renders most long range attacks useless.

Heavy armor is used to protect its core. However to reduce its weight this AF only used standard armor for its outer shell, and its large "wings" housing the main HI Laser batteries are vulnerable to attacks . Appears in "Defeat AF Answerer"

* Sol Dios Orbit: A modified Land Crab Arms Fort created by TORUS with several Sol Dios Cannons that are capable of splitting off and operating independently from the main unit. However the Sol Dios Cannons take a while to engage, which might allow a fast moving NEXT to approach before it happens. In Normal Mode, the AF is equipped with 4 Sol Dios cannons while in Hard Mode, it has 6. Also worth noting that in Hard Mode, the Sol Dios cannons have the Assault Armor ability, which is utilized when a NEXT approaches it and gets too near. Appears in "Defeat Unidentified AF"

* Great Wall: Global Armament's primary Arms Fort, the very symbol of the company's power. It is several miles long and equipped with long range ballistics and heavy missile ordinance. Many consider it the "greatest land-based weapon" ever built. Heavily armored from the outside, the only way to defeat this AF is by traveling through the machine's rear and working one's way internally towards its power source. Great Wall can detach its individual segments as a last-ditch defensive method. The NEXT Rai-Den defends Great Wall once a segment detaches in Hard Mode. Appears in "Defeat AF Great Wall"

* Jet-Type: ORCA's special, custom-made AF, heavily armored except for a single exposed exhaust vent on its upper half. It is armed with multiple energy blades. Due to its small size design and relatively low cost this AF was massively produced. Appear in "Defeat ORCA's Special AF Unit"; miniature versions appear in "Defend Arteria Cranium (Hard Mode)"

* Giga Base: An amphibious AF, a relic from the age when developers still hadn't understood the power of the agile NEXTS. It is equipped with a very powerful long-ranged cannon and several homing missile launchers. However, its lack of defense against either fast-moving or close-range attacks make it vulnerable against the increasingly fast-moving NEXTs. Giga Base is capable of moving on land and water, as one appears in the distance to provide backup during the mission 'Defeat AF Cabracan' (backup is only provided on Normal Difficulty Mode). Also appear in "Defeat AF Giga Base" and "Clear Former Chinese Shanghai"

Armored Core 4

Armored Core 4

Armored Core 4 (アーマード・コア Āmādo Koa Fō) is a mech combat game, published by Sega for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 consoles. It is the 12th installment of From Software's Armored Core series and a second reboot after Armored Core 3. The game is set in the future where a great war has left the nations of Earth devastated and their respective governments taken over by corporations.

The game features a system for personalized customization of the player's mech and an online mode where players can battle each other over Xbox Live or the PlayStation Network.

The world experienced a period of rapid population growth, which put a strain on global food and energy supplies. As populations increased, so did the gap between the wealthy and the poor, and so did the unrest within the population at large. Eventually, violence began to erupt and the governments quickly lost control of their populations as their cities were consumed by terrorism and anarchy. People began turning to corporations, complete with private armies, to keep them safe from the chaos.

In the midst of the meltdown, the world's six most powerful corporate conglomerates decided to do away with national governments and install their own brand of rule and law. They launched a full scale war on the nations of the world, which came to be known as the National Dismantlement War.

Using advanced Armored Core technology, the corporations decimated the forces of the nations and declared victory in less than a month. With the old nations of the world effectively toppled, the corporations set out to work on a new system of government.

The corporations dubbed their new order as the "Pax Economica" ("Economic [or Corporate] Peace", Latin), a system where loyalty and service to the corporations guaranteed food and survival. Under the Pax, however, people were forced into corporate-run colonies and essentially became slaves serving wealthy corporate masters.

Around five years after the National Dismantlement War, long-standing tensions between the Pax Economica members erupted, and a new war began.

Call of Juarez: The Cartel

Call Of Juarez: The Cartel

Call of Juarez: The Cartel is a first-person shooter video game developed by Techland. The game is part of the Call of Juarez western-themed video games, but is set in modern-day Los Angeles and Mexico as up to three players take the role of law enforcement agents. Call of Juarez: The Cartel was demonstrated at Penny Arcade Expo East 2011 and was released on July 19, 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows on September 13, 2011.

On July 4, 2011, the offices of the Drug Enforcement Administration are bombed by unknown assailants. Assistant Deputy Director Shane Dickson enlists Ben McCall, along with FBI agent Kimberly Evans and DEA agent Eddie Guerra to track down the culprits, with the Mendoza Cartel and Antonio Alvarez as prime suspects. She informs them of the late Patrick Stone, who was investigating the Cartel up until his death in the bombing. They are also tasked with protecting Stone's only daughter, Jessica, a key informant in the investigation, whom they place under witness protection. Kim reveals that the Cartel has been purchasing military-grade hardware from an unknown source.

The trio proceeds to strike at the Cartel through their distributors—domestic street gangs, such as Araña and the Rolling 50’s, and clash in skirmishes with Araña's rivals, the Vatos Locos. The team burn cannabis fields, raid a gang house, disrupt a sex trafficking ring (which also was housing shipments of cannabis), and intercept a large shipment of cash following an extensive car chase and gunfight.

At Eddie's behest, the team decides to move Jessica to a different safe house across the city in a car driven by one Sergeant Dempsey. Almost immediately, they are intercepted by Araña gangsters and chased along the freeway until their car is hit by a semi truck. Dempsey is killed, but the rest manage to escape in stolen transportation. Realizing that someone let slip their plans, they resolve to trust no one—not even each other—until their mission is complete.

Afterwards, they find a number for Stone's retired acquaintance, Kevin Donleavy, who received a package upon his death. They arrange a meeting at the Panorama nightclub, but upon arrival Ben notices Alvarez among the crowd. After approaching her at the bar and handing her a key, Donleavy is killed by a sniper, uttering only the words "Eagle Pass" before dying. Jessica flees the scene in terror, with Alvarez in pursuit; despite their best efforts, the three are unable to find her afterwards.

Eddie and Kim learn that Jesús Mendoza, son of Cartel boss Juan Mendoza, is headed to Los Angeles in response to the stolen money delivery. Realizing that abducting Jesús would lead them to the Cartel's arms dealer and grant them a powerful bargaining chip, Eddie asks his street dealer, Hector, to tell Araña to mark anyone asking about the stolen cash, then convinces another dealer, Flaco, to contact Araña about the exact topic. Armed thugs promptly arrive and execute Flaco, and retreat to the El Dorado nightclub to inform their guest, unaware they are being followed; there, the agents fight through Araña gang members and chase down Jesús, stowing him into the trunk of their van.

Ben interrogates Jesús about the Cartel, learning that Alvarez has indeed captured Jessica, and that Jesús was to meet with Michael Duke, CEO of the bankrupt PMC Peacekeepers International, and the Cartel's contact for high-end weaponry; satisfied, they lock Jesús inside a development building.

The next day, the trio rendezvous with Duke at a ghost town (The same town where Ray and Thomas fought a group of Pinkertons in Bound in Blood) in Jesús' stead, Eddie dressed as Jesús, Kim as his escort and Ben as "Harris", a weapons expert. However, Duke reveals Alvarez has arrived, as well; Alvarez recognizes them immediately, but sardonically plays along with their disguises. After a weapons demonstration and unexpectedly dangerous live-fire exercise, Duke rejects the Cartel's payment, and states his new price—Monteczuma's legendary treasure, The Gold of Juarez, long since unearthed and relocated to the National Museum in Juarez, Mexico.

That night, gangsters attack the team at their motel, demolishing the walls with a wrecking ball. Despite his multiple attempts at escape, the agents retrieve Jesús and bring him to the Mexican border in exchange for Jessica. However, as the two hostages pass, Alvarez shoots them both with a sniper rifle, killing Jesús and wounding Jessica. The team manages to rescue her, but she soon dies. After an argument in which Ben reveals that Kim shot Donleavy, Eddie then reveals to the rest of the team that Donleavy gave him a key to "Eagle Pass" earlier.

The team use the key to open a locker at a bus station, inside is the package that Donleavy mentioned, which turns out to be a cd that Patrick Stone recorded, on the cd, Patrick says that Shane Dickson is corrupt and was the one who introduced Michael Duke to the Mendoza Cartel, he expresses regret at not testifying against Alvarez back in Vietnam (where Alvarez was tried for raping and murdering a Vietnamese civilian in Saigon back in 1972, but was deemed innocent) and reveals that Ben is the only person he trusted to look after Jess.

Soon after, the team head to a farmhouse and after fighting through some thugs, find a secret underground smuggling passage, the tunnel leads them under the border to an old fort (Juarez' Alcazar) where Mendoza and Duke's men are loading up the Gold of Juarez into trucks, the team manage to kill all the men and then decide to plot Duke and Mendoza against one another by taking the Gold and pinning it on Duke via text message and sending Duke a letter about Mendoza deciding to take the weapons and the Gold all for himself.

The next day, the team plans to capture Mendoza at Jesús' funeral, but Duke's men arrive and the team chase after Mendoza, fighting both men's armies until they corner him in a church. Duke then tries to kill Mendoza himself in an attack chopper, which the team manages to destroy, killing Duke in the process. They then chase after Mendoza, only for Alvarez to show up and rescue him.

The team then storms Mendoza's Hacienda, killing more of his men and finally manage to corner Mendoza, who promptly surrenders. Ben tries to strong-arm him into testifying, only for Mendoza to be killed by an unmanned aircraft drone, which fires upon the rest of the team, who realize that Dickson must've sent the drone after them in order to cover up her tracks. Ben says that Alvarez is the only one left who can testify to Dickson's involvement. The team chase him into a cellar, where they split into three paths. Kim and Eddie are contacted by their superiors who encourage them to kill off their teammates, while Dickson orders Ben to walk away, or "things will go badly" for him. The team manages to corner Alvarez, who reveals that Eddie's debts have been paid off in exchange for his agency to hold him responsible for his illegal actions, Kim reveals that Alvarez is a federal informant and was their link to the Cartel. Ben wants to kill Alavarez in retaliation for his crimes, Kim wants Alvarez alive so Dickson and Waters (Head of the FBI) can go to prison and Eddie wants to split the drug money three ways where they can start with a clean slate.

The team engage in a Mexican stand-off and the player is presented with a choice to either kill his/her teammates or decide not to fight, choosing to kill your teammates results in Alvarez detonating a grenade and escaping, after which you kill your teammates and get different fates for each character, Ben goes to prison while the US prepares to go to war with Mexico, Kim slaps Dickson after being awarded a medal, and is apprehended, and Eddie gets killed (presumably by the person who was blackmailing him). If you choose not to fight, the team lets Alvarez live.

Later on, Alvarez testifies against Dickson's involvement, resulting in her arrest. Eddie and Kim both end up in jail for their actions and Ben is shown placing flowers on Patrick and Jessica's grave, and pulling out a Bible, finally seeking redemption.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood

Call Of Juarez Bound in Blood

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is a Western themed first-person shooter video game set in the years of 1864-1866. Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood was announced on January 14, 2009 and uses the Chrome Engine 4, the fourth generation of Techland's game engine. Developed by Techland and published by Ubisoft, it is a prequel to Call of Juarez that debuted in 2006 for Microsoft Windows and 2007 on the Xbox 360. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on June 30, 2009.

The story begins with Ray and Thomas pointing their guns at each other. William laments on how things degenerated between them to the point of them becoming mortal enemies, saying that they were family.A gunshot is heard.

Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood features two playable characters: brothers Ray and Thomas. Characters differ from each other which strongly affects the gameplay.

* Ray McCall: The older of the two playable brothers, prefers a close combat style and tasks which require the use of brute force. Of the two, he is also more deadly with dual guns and dynamite. Ray is more resistant to damage and has significantly greater strength. Ray's 'bullet time' ability allows the player to shoot up to 24 targets with perfect accuracy (Using so called "Volcano" guns, which are Smith and Wesson volcanic repeaters). Voiced by Marc Alaimo.

* Thomas McCall: A sharpshooter with a long-range combat style, using rifles, throwing knives, and a hunting bow. He is also capable of stealth, using 'silent' weapons like the knives and bow. Additionally he can use a lasso to access otherwise unreachable places.Thomas' bullet time only allows the player to shoot 6 enemies at a time, but has a wider range of targets. The player must simulate Thomas' from-the-hip shooting by holding down the fire button and moving the analog stick or mouse forward and back. Voiced by Zach Hanks.

* William McCall: The youngest and unplayable brother is a priest who follows his brothers everywhere, believing it is his duty to turn them "towards the light". He will follow the brothers into firefights and must be protected. He is always trying to convince his brothers to stay out of trouble, but ultimately ends up becoming a "sinner", as Juarez said he would, when he is forced to kill in self defense. William's last act is to stop his two brothers from killing each other. Standing between them he claims he will "draw on three". Ray shoots him, but realizes William was only reaching for his Bible. William's self sacrifice inspires Ray to become a priest. In Call of Juarez, Reverend Ray McCall carries William's Bible with him, and the protagonist of Call of Juarez, Billy Candle is presumably named in memory of the youngest McCall brother. Voiced by Carlos Alazraqui.

* Juarez: His real name is Juan Mendoza. A powerful Mexican bandit leader, nicknamed Juarez after the town he was born in, is one of the main antagonists but is at first an ally. The McCall brothers meet Juarez when they save Marisa from a group of bandits that take her for a common whore. The McCall brothers' reason for being in Mexico is to find the lost treasure of Cortez; Juarez is also looking for it and he employs the McCall brothers to help him find it for a cut. At the time Marisa is his mistress; this is what generates most of the conflict between him and Ray because Ray secretly loves her. Juarez is also the biological father of William "Billy Candle", the protagonist of Call of Juarez. Voiced by Rene Mujica.

* Marisa : Juarez's mistress and love interest of both McCall brothers. She is often a source of contention between Ray and Thomas. Even causing a fist fight between them to determine who is the strongest and most deserving of her affection. She marries Thomas in the closing artwork. Voiced by Giselle Anthony.

* Jeremy Barnsby One of the main antagonists and Ray and Thomas' colonel during the Civil War. Barnsby made a promise that he would hunt down and kill every deserter from his unit in the Civil War, holding those men responsible for the loss of Atlanta and the death of his family. After the war, Barnsby assembled a small army of former Confederate soldiers who refused to accept the defeat. Hounded by the US military, they have fled west where they live as brigands. When he hears the McCalls are seeking the Lost Gold of Juarez, he not only seeks to kill them for deserting him, but to seize the treasure for himself so that he can resurrect the Confederate cause. Voiced by John Cygan.

* Seeing Farther : Son of the Apache chief Running River. He is sent by his father to the bandit Juarez, from whom he wants to get hundreds of rifles in exchange for the Apaches' treasure: A medallion that leads to the Lost Gold of Juarez. The rifles are wanted by the Apaches to use in skirmishes against the U.S. government. He is the McCall's ally throughout most of the game, he helps them get the medallion and tells William how to use it. Voiced by Dante Basco.

Deathsmiles

Deathsmiles Limited Edition

Deathsmiles (デススマイルズ?) is a horizontal side scrolling shoot 'em up arcade game by Japanese developer Cave, released in late 2007. It is notable for its aesthetic style, featuring heavy occult and gothic influences. It is the second Cave shoot 'em up to be played using a horizontally-oriented monitor (the first being Progear, followed by the recently released Akai Katana). It was the first Cave shooter released in North America on a console, and the first one in Europe. Cave have also released it to the iOS market. A sequel, DeathSmiles II, was released to Japanese arcades on May 14, 2009.

Instead of the typical lives in traditional shooters, the player is given a pool of life points (initially 3). The player loses 1 point if they are hit by a bullet, 1/2 point if they collide with an enemy or are hit by a non-bullet attack. The game ends when the player has no more life points. Life points can be restored by items, and the maximum life point is increased when reaching certain scores (default 20 and 45 million points).

When an enemy is destroyed, it fires a yellow "counter bullet" that is smaller than the regular bullet fired from an enemy. If the player's familiar is hit by a "counter bullet", the player's item counter is increased, which leads to an increased score. Stage bosses do not fire counter bullets.
Characters

* Windia - 13 year old English redhead girl, dressed as a gothic lolita. She is the last one to be adopted by Dior. She has ability to use wind.

* Casper - 11 year old German blonde girl. She has ability to use phantoms.

* Sakura - 15 year old English blonde girl. Usually dressed as a witch. She is the boss on Stage B-2. In Mega Black Label, she is also a playable character. Sakura is Windia's friend from the real world. She is the only unplayable character from the original game in DeathSmiles II.

* Tiara - The princess of Gilverado announced to appear in the iOs version of the game, for a special iPhone mode.
